Located on the top of the highest hill in Magaux, Château Chantelune benefits from on the best spot of the area. The previous owner of the property, Mr. Soubrane, was a carpenter and belived in felling his trees by moonlight, to improve the quality of his woods. When he turned to wine, wanting to keep the practices, he called the property “sing to the moon”. The estate is now owned by Joé Sanfins, director of the third growth Château Cantenac Brown. The soil is poor but the vines are forty-years old, digging deep for water and nutrients. A perfect storm to produce an exceptional cuvée. With only 400 cases produced each year.
